We have a strong infrastructure on competence and resources with regard to space education, research and testing:

Luleå Technical University or LTU

LTU has Space Systems group in Kiruna, and the Atmospheric Science Group with branches in Luleå and Kiruna. The environment of space campus is highly international, with students and researchers from all continents. Besides this LTU has campus sites in Luleå, Piteå and Skellefteå and a wide range of master and bachelor educations within IT, financial, mineral and more.

Institutet för rymdfysik or IRF

The Swedish Institute of Space Physics (Institutet för rymdfysik, IRF) is a governmental research institute with about 100 employees. Its primary task is to carry out basic research, education and associated observatory activities in space physics, space technology and atmospheric physics. IRF has employees in Kiruna, Umeå, Uppsala and Lund. The main office is located in Kiruna in northern Sweden. IRF has satellite instruments orbiting the Earth, Mars and Saturn.

ESA BIC Sweden is the swedish national space incubator that offers financial and business support to space startups in Sweden. It is lead by Arctic Business w. Uppsala Innovation Centre, Innovatum and Ideon Innovation as partners and on behalf of ESA and SNSA.

LTU Business

LTU Business help customers develop innovations, business strategies and partnerships for a better future through adding leading methods, expertise and tools. LTU Business is owned by Luleå University of Technology and is based in northern Sweden. LTU Business is a a consulting company operating at the intersection of academia, business and government. We fuse insights, contacts and experience from our local roots with national and international projects (several in the space sector).
